Default LS7 pilot bearing to small

I purchased an LS7 pilot bearing from local parts store(the type that sits in outer part of crank) yet it goes in but is so loose that if I take my finger away from holding it it just falls out! Did they perhaps give me a bearing from a different corvette engine? It looks exactly like all the pictures I've seen and if I stuck it in the crank and took a pic you'd never know it was loose but slightest movement and that bad boy falls out! Anyone had this issue before! 2005 LH6 5.3

you might want to get a "GM" bearing at dealership. Mic it and see if it is slightly larger than yours

some aftermarket cranks are slightly off and in those cases people have:

1. knurled the outside of bearing
2. used sizing (shim) stock wrapped around the bearing
3. put green loc tite around bearing and let dry overnight

Bad bearing, get a new GM one. Both my 02 and 05 truck motors were a tight fit.
