Spec St2 clutch smoked at 30k?

Spec St2 clutch smoked at 30k? 98 Ta 400rwhp
About 30k miles ago I did a motor and tranny rebuild with a spec stage 2 clutch ls6 slave and master had flywheel machined and advised to space the flywheel due to machining. Great driving car until last week when got on it leaving home and when I hit second it slipped hard. The Friction point went instantly from mid pedal to very very top of the pedal. I limped home and noticed I can now change gears with no pedal(I don't just tried to see how bad it was). Car is not driven much 30k miles is over 8-9 years. I romp on it every now and again but no track passes nothing that I would think warrant a worn clutch. Master cylinder fluid level is good. Going to bleed the clutch tomorrow but not sure how this could really help. any ideas on what I could be looking at here.
