Exclamation Pilot bushing noise??

Ok I have a T56 magnum that I put in less than 10,000mi ago I installed a brass or bronze pilot bushing instead of the input shaft eater needle bearing.... well I have recently installed a McLeod release bearing factory ones are junk and regreased the shaft with a tad bit of high temp grease, but anyways I have a funny noise a friend of mine that builds transmissions all the time told me input bearing I think he is full of ****.... it intermittently happens while I have the clutch in and put the shifter into gear about half way in im assuming right about the time the syncro lines up, and when letting out the clutch in right before the clutch engages, its not really a grinding noise its more of a screech or metal squeal, im thinking bushing and input shaft are making the funny noise ive never heard before in my life, and noticed it after about four hard launches on the highway, now rolling down the highway and up in higher gears don't hear the noise at all??? any thoughts or comments would be appreciated Oh and anyone know of a Kevlar pilot bushing for an LS1 WOULD BE GREAT?? cant find one to save my life

easiest thing for me to do would be slap another pilot bushing in it and see what happens but I don't like guess work...... I just wanted to get someone elses input first any one else have similar issues?? all shifts feel fine no vibrations It wouldn't be bad idea to pop drain plug for a spilt second just to check.....

I'm just wondering why GM's bean counters would authorize spending say, oh, 6x's the cost of an Oilite bearing for an "input shaft eating" needle bearing, then offer a 100k mile powertrain warranty...

I don't thinking bearings are that bad. I have never had an issue....proper install is key I guess.

Pilot bushing/bearing diagnosis:

Car at idle, transmission in neutral, clutch pedal out - quiet
Car at idle, transmission in neutral, clutch pedal in - noisy after a second or two delay. Letting pedal out after noise starts, it immediately gets quiet

If it passes that simple test, it is something else

Lol...especially when needle bearing pilots failure rate is super low if not rare. How many factory failures have been reported here?
