Same here.

One of the reasons I DO NOT like the MGW design is that alloy offset bracket (just another thing to break or loosen up on a road course during hard use ).

Well, I had a spacer on my shifter for 14 years and never had it loosen up or break on me, and I'm not exactly a little guy or shift gently.

Is the AntiVenom mod ok for this shifter or would you suggest no mod?

I installed mine yesterday with white ****, replacing a stock non hurst shifter I made a short stick for. Bent forward and toward the driver, very short. Got to say it was very much worth the money! The 2-3 is absolutely anazing, you seemingly cant mess it up. The position is definitely different, but I dont find it uncomfortable and with time will be unnoticeable. Now I am 5' 10" maybe a little wider shoulders, little longer than normal arms... The only thing I did not care for is the ball socket that goes into the plastic cup, it was not smoothe like the factory piece. You could see and feel (catch fingernail) machined circles on it. I won't say it affects the performance, it may even keep some oil film who knows, I just feel like a polished surface would work and present better to the consumer. Again I have to say it shifts great, very positive and confidence inspiring, no slop at all. PICS ADDED

That does not appear to be any more canted to the passenger's side than my current Pro 5.0 does in neutral.

Pretty sure those pics are in 3rd, was messing with the 2-3 shift and I think thats where I left it... 1st however is not very far to the driver though . The pattern is very tight and close. I really don't feel it to be an issue even going from what I had made. My homemade deal probably moved more to the driver than this does away from driver from stock or aftermarket, end user can always personalize with a spacer. I only mentioned it because it was something of concern to others.

Not very often, this is still a really new product. Well worth the investment though.

Just wanted to drop a line - I finally had the opportunity to bang some gears in a vehicle (2006 GTO - BTR Stage IV Camshaft, Kooks Headers/Mids, Borla Catback, McLeod RXT Clutch), equipped with the Hinson shifter. I'm impressed. Gears are very close to each other, and shifts are purposeful and firm. I had previously thought the MGW was the best money one could spend for a shifter on the 4th generation fbody, but they very well may have some serious competition now with Hinsons offering.

Very impressive shifter gentlemen, thank you!

Wish I had seen this at LS Fest. Would have liked to check it out in person. Any chance of a group buy or sale coming up soon?

I wish you could have stopped by and talked with us as well. We had these on display as well for guys to try out. I know if you would have tried it you would have bought it on the spot. By the end of the second day we were completely sold out of nearly all our shifters. It is truly an amazing product that works like no other shifter on the market.

I used to always joke with my buddies that I could teach a monkey how to drive my fbody, when it was up and running with the MGW short throw shifter.

The Hinson unit is every bit as effortless. I honestly think you'd have to TRY to miss 3rd with this shifter lol.
