I've seen them with more play than that. Still did fine for me. It's just the bearings that are wore. And the end of the input shaft should clean up. Seen a thread the other day with someone talking about how to clean that up. Don't remember what they used. I'm pretty sure it's the pilot bearing material that's built up. The input shaft is like 10x harder than the bearing.
I would put a new pilot "bushing" in it and clean up the IS and roll with it.

from this side of the internet it looks like your front shaft bearing is worn more than spec which in turn will kill your pilot as it has.
Yeah you can throw in another pilot "bearing" and clean up the input shaft tip with emery cloth.....but I suspect you will be back in 3k mi or less with the same issue
contact a qualified shop like Tick or one you feel is qualified and show them the video or even better take the tranny to a local shop for their hands on to get a diagnosis on the front bearing
