Default Clutch Slip and Stiff Pedal at High RPM WOT - 2005 CTS-V

Purchased my 2005 CTS-V roughly a month ago. At the time, it needed new motor mounts so I wasn't going WOT. After new ones from Creative-Steel were installed, I was able to rev out the car and do some harder shifting. I found that when revving past 5k or 5.5k at wide open throttle, the clutch would slip and the pedal would get really hard. I can pump the pedal a couple times and it will feel about the same, but the first shift after this event will have an odd engagement with the clutch.

Is this a surefire sign of needing a new clutch, or is something else afoot? The car is relatively stock, with just some long tubes (which were installed with the motor mounts).
