Time for a new clutch, motor swap car, need input:
Ok, the car is a 2001 z28 with a cammed ls2 pullout from an 05 vette.
My initial question is, it is supposed to already have a SPEC Stage 2 clutch in it, so I should be able to just replace with another SPEC 2 or as I am thinking, a stage 3 f-body clutch kit for an extra $20, without having to worry about the flywheel lining up or anything, it should already have the correct flywheel for an f-body clutch I am assuming?
Secondary question, the main symptom I am having is vibration at certain RPM levels when accelerating, mainly in 2 and 3, and then in 4, 5, and 6 I can be sitting at 1500-2000+/- rpms and give it anything more than 1/4 throttle and it slips BADLY, this should be just the clutch right, and not the hydraulics? Never had a problem with it sticking or slipping until this. I would really like to not have to spend the money on new hydraulics, but do not want to get it back together and encounter the same issues.
Thanks,
David
