$9000 isn't that bad for everything you did. A good price for a great project! You could write a book on your swap. Everyone should check out John's website; this guy documented every move he made; I don't know how he actually finished the job, with all of the picture taking and text writing.
Great Job!!

Just how much does an LS1/T56 swap into a non F-body cost ......plenty!
I finally collected all of my receipts (almost wish I hadn't now!) and came up with the grand total cost for the LS1/T56 swap into my G-body....just over $9000.00! I didn't believe it either but here are the details for those interested:
http://home.earthlink.net/~bzdel/PhaseISwapCost.htm
Bottom line, I knew that it wasn't going to be cheap, easy, or fast to do. Am I satisfied with the swap, need you ask <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> Is it expensive, yes. Could a 13 second emissions legal Monte Carlo SS be put together for cheaper, yes. But would it be as cool without an LS1, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
And by the way, these are conservative cost estimates since I did not include things like the over $300 in long distance phone calls over a two year period while researching what would/could work, any allowance for gas when investigating/buying potential parts in wrecking yards, coordinating machining/cutting and welding of components at suppliers (some up to 35 miles away), welding wire or gas or any dollar cost for all of my time to do the actual work.
I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone here for the LS1 knowledge shared and gained to make my job easier!
Now it's on to the 12's and then 11's with this project <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> Next up, the B1 cam, LS6 intake, and ASP crank pulley get installed in two weeks <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
