Clutch questions
I'm looking for a clutch for my truck but will never be able to find the answer I need on performancetrucks so I hope you guys don't mind me posting this here...
Is all that really matters is the dimesions of the clutch? For instance, my clutch dimesions are 11", 10-1/8" x10 spline. I've searched and checked everywhere and cannot find a clutch for my truck specifically. The transmissions I have is a NV3500 and is put in silverados, c/k's, s10's (and the gmc equivalents) and dodge rams and dakotas. I have found clutches with my specs for the rams and dak's, 88-98 c/k's, 95-96 4wd s10's and like 60-something - 88 c/k's. These clutches all have the same dimesions as what I need, is there going to be a problem with them?
Or perhaps an even more important questions would be am I able to use a clutch that works with a different transmission but has the same dimensions?
Oh, and how do you guys rate these brands
centerforce
hays

As far as brands go, Cf is fine under 500 rwhp I think, hays I have heard good things about, Zoom I really haven't heard anything about to my knowledge.
Look into SPEC, just my advice. I don't know anything about your tranny, NV3500, but maybe call a sponsor and see what they have to offer. I'm sure they can help you out.
