Default Throw out bearing ?

I was looking at clutches on ebay and saw a zo6 clutch kit for f-bodies that came with a throw out bearing. Thing is I thought the throw out bearing was permanetly attatched to the slave cylinder. Am I wrong can the throw out bearing I'm seeing be used on the f-bodies? Does it detach from the slave?
