Default horrible clunking when pressing clutch..what to fix?

after my clutch install, sometimes when im going in and out of first gear say pulling up to a stop sign or stop and go traffic, when i engage the clutch after its already been in gear there is a really hard clunking sound. could the hydraulic line not being pushed back in correctly have any part in whats going on or could there be air in the system? ive check to make sure everything is tight and inspected the drive shaft, torque arm and phb and everything was tight. It sounds like it could be the end of the DS where it connects to the pumpkin getting stuck but its not rubbing anything......any ideas what the problem could be? its really annoying and just sounds horrible!! could it be the rearend?
