Question ZF-6 speed...

From what I've read, the ZF-6 speed (german built...) was put into the C4 Corvette instead of the T56 unit. My local tranny man confirmed this. How strong is the stock ZF? As in withstandifications of torque/horsepower....

stock it can take 500ft/lbs but they are very expensive to fix and build and if u can get one that was put behind the lt5 ur good to go.
