Default Spec Stage 3 Clutch Thinger Mabob

I'm still waiting for the tranny guy, however last time when I fcked with the tranny I installed a Spec Stage 3 Clutch which came with a seperator of some kind (it goes inbetween the slave and bell housing on the tranny) anyways, for the first day it killed my foot to depress the clutch (poing of the seperator; to add pressure) anyways, do I need it? Can I take it out and everything be cool or should I keep it in???

It is a shim to give you pedal to disengage the clutch properly, if you don't use it, you will not be able to disengage the clutch or shift the car.

I think thats the problem anyways, the tranny guy said that he thinks that the clutch wasn't properly disengaging or engaging -- so I bought a new master cylinder as well as slave and I will apply the drill mod to the master to see if that fixes the issue -- I guess I will keep the shim in place, however it does hurt my damned foot....

That's what you get for getting a clutch that will hold a lot of power.

Even though I have this badass clutch -- i shouldn't need the McCleod Adjustable?? And can I still do the drill mod and assume it will not hurt anything even if at a later time I went back to stock clutch??

Correct on all counts, however, when I bought my SPEC clutch, I installed it, it felt fine, I drove around for a few miles and it started getting impossible to get it into gears. I had to pull the trans back off and make some extra shims out of sheet aluminum.

Clutch was fine after that. I bought the Mcloed adjustable master for the next clutch install. Just something to be aware of...
