Default Does the t 56 have inspection cover..??

I can't find my manual and can't see one one on drivers side..does our t 56 have a removable inspection cover. I managed to drop a bleed screw in there and it would be much easier to get out if there is an inspection cover or is that only found on auto cars..??

There are no inspection covers .There are two "ports" at the top of the T56 one is where the shifter sets and the other is over the offset lever. How / when did you drop a screw in the box? You could drain the fluid out and see if the bonus part comes out with the oil. If not , you will have to remove& teardown to get at it.

This is incorrect. There is an inspection cover on the t56!!! Its on the passenger side and you take off the starter and then you can get it out.Its small but this is how I managed to get my dropped slave bleeder screw out of there by using a big magnet and moving it over to the inspection area after removing starter and plate.

So very pleased that they did infact put in one.!!!

Lol. Yall were both on 2 different pages. MY99TAWS6 was talking about the bell housing, while Calhoon was talking about the acual tranny itself.

The trans itself has no inspection cover , the bellhousing is a different story .
