Default stock shifting

on a mostly stock ls1 m6, what do you guys shift at when racing?
i've been shiting at about 5500 but im thinking its too early.

As high as you can without hitting the rev limiter. The factory tach can't keep up with how fast the engine's revving, so your higher than what it actually is showing.

When I was lid only I shifted right at 6k with good results. With the headers and exhaust, that is cutting it close, sometimes I'll tap the limiter if powershifting it at 6k. Just see what works for you and your car to be consistant. FWIW fuel shutoff is 6250 stock.
