I just finished mine a few weeks ago, it's in my car now... I've been meaning to take some pics but haven't gotten around to it.
All I did was take the master appart and cut half of the internal stop off. Then I cut the rod about an inch and a half from the end. I bought a coupler from lowes (forget the size, 5/16 18 thread I think. Then I threaded the rod and installed the coupler on the rod after reassembling the master. I think I set mine about 1/4 longer than stock, but I haven't had time to play with the setting, I like mine fine where it is anyway. Using my stock master this mod cost me less than $5 total.
The write up on this is pretty hard to find but it's on here, mine differed from the write up in that I used a coupler instead of a rod end. Try seaching for: master cylinder pics, thats how I stumbled across it.
