3-4 syncro questions
OK I have built dozens of T-56 transmissions and every one has broken keys in the 3-4 syncro assembly and I replace the syncro with new OE parts and still have had a few come back broke. Is there anyone out there making a syncro key out of some stronger metal?

The broken struts ( or keys) are a resultant damage not a cause. The billet parts wont break as readily but they will still over extend and cause a stuck in gear issue. The problem is the over extending of the strut. This can be from worn blockers , worn fork pads , worn shift fork( at the rail hole) or a combination of all of these contributors. The 3/4 fork should always be replaced with an iron part and the blockers checked for adequate wear gap at any time the box is opened up.

I install the iron 3-4 shift fork and use carbon fiber blocking ringsin all my units and the keys still broke in my 01 SS. I am just looking for an alternative to use from the stock parts.
