Default Leak from rear of tranny?

Broke the rear the other day due to wheel hop and having 4.11's. Noticed a small puddle of tranny fluid underneath where the driveshaft goes into the back of the tranny. Could it just be a bad seal, or could it be worse and how can I tell. What is the name of the seal that goes back there, and how do I get it out to replace it?..thanks
Ben

itS THE OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL , there is a bushing in there that keeps the drive shaft yoke steady that walks out on them. if it walks out it messes up the seal but you can take a screw driver and tap teh bushing back in and ping it to help stop it from walking out. I have changed my seal 4 times now and just waiting till the tranny has to come out anyways to change the bushing. make sure you tap the bushing back in and put a new seal on and that should last a while. GM wants way to much for there seal , I went to autozone and got one for $2
