Clutch not disengaging
Installed Textralia clutch last night. Bled for several hours with a mitivac.
When we start it up, the clutch will not disengage (goes into gear, tires spin, apply brakes with clutch in, engine bogs).
Could this be a slave cylinder problem??
Also when we bleed it, the air never seems to be pulled out all the way.

i replaced the slave with an upgraded one from mcleod. and i have an adjustable master cylinder for the clutch, so u can adjust the engagement height of your clutch pedal. mine was ok, so its still brand new. i paid 330 shipped, im lettin it go for 300 shipped! but the slave is usually the culprit.

Are there any symptoms of a STRICTLY a busted slave cylinder? The mitivac keeps pulling air out of the system, we've been coming back to it every 20 minutes and it continues to pull air. Granted, the line was off the car when the transmission was pulled off, but I don't think that there's that much air introduced into the system during that period of time. Tons of air is coming out of the system. Despite this, pedal pressure seems normal.

did u get a shim to put behind your slave cylinder? i got one with my Spec stage 3 i used it with my upgraded slave. my old slave was shot. it was pissing out fluid into the bellhousing. it cant handle the pressure of the new HP clutches. i think i spent 129 shipped on the upgraded slave and no more problems!! replace it and you wont have any more probs with it.
