Default assembly

i am doing a M6 conversion and i had some trouble getting the tranny all the way on without using the bolts to tighten it up but we pulled it off checked the clutch and i realigned it just to make sure then we put the tranny back on and had the same problem so we used the bolts to pull the tranny up tight to the bellhousing and it worked but this is my first time with the 6 speed install so should i be worried about the pilot bearing and im pretty sure i got the clutch fork on there is there any way to check it any tips appreciated

Do you have an alignment tool that you used when you put the clutch on with?

you should not have to use the bolt6s to "press ' the trans to the engine. you may have been depressing the pressuer plate fingers or damaging the pilot. Ya I would be concerned about the health of the bearing.
