Default Got the shiftlight in... to put the tach back in or not?

Okay I got my nice Autometer shiftlight installed. But I'm thinking maybe I should reinstall my 3 3/4" Autometer tach. Do you think it's worth doing as a backup/safety precaution? Also, if I were to do it, would I be alright splicing into the power/signal/ground that's going to the shiftlight?

Please answer the questions I asked if you're going to respond. Last time I made a post about this, I got a bunch of random suggestions for other products

I really don't see the point of having an aftermarker tach when you have a shift light, unless of course your stock tach doesn't work. I think it looks tacky having a huge *** tach, especially when people mount it on the dash (my opinion only). Plus, it adds weight to your car.
