What is the proper way to bleed a new slave cylinder?

Default What is the proper way to bleed a new slave cylinder?

Do you fill it up with fluid via pouring it in and then put in on the car and use the pump method? Do you have to use a miti vac? Remember I am talking about the slave not the master.

When I did it, before I reinstalled the slave and trans, I cracked the bleed valve slightly and let it slowly gravity bleed and drip. Reinstalled everything then mityvac'd it a bit, and a again after every drive for aobut a week. Seemed to work great for me.

Exactly what he said ! Gravity does 95% of it. You may not even need to do anything after that.
