Default Anyone Shortened B&M Shifter?

I drove a friend's car the other day and he has the stock shifter with a Lou's short stick. I must say that I really like how short it is. I am looking at getting a Pro 5.0 with a Lou's short stick but I already have a B&M Ripper shifter, which has a longer throw than the LSS. The B&M doesn't have a removeable stick though. I was wondering if anyone has shortened theirs somehow... Maybe cutting a few inches out and rewelding? Thanks!

I've taken 2" off of mine. The machine shop that did it was able to get it in their lathe, so that's how they did it. If you are sticking with a ****, I wouldn't take that much off of it, as it really cuts into your leverage. An inch would probably do it.

I took about 2" off my B&M T56 shifter.

I had to as mines a DIY LS1 conversion, and the stick would have been far too long for my car.

I think my shift feels great.

My B&M stick is removable. I swapped it out with a mustang cobra stick and ****. It's much shorter now and the **** is sweet with it's billet aluminum shift pattern tag.

Is it removeable at the bend? I haven't really tried to remove it yet. How much shorter in the mustang stick?

The machine shop wasn't able to remove mine at the bend...I think they had to take the entire piece out.
