Default Ordered a new Luk clutch and have Q's

I ordered a luk clutch from Speed Solution Inc. The whole "z06" clutch kit with the flywheel and all. It came in a box from a company called Exedy/ Daiken. But on the actual clutch there are luk stamps along with the disc. However there are no luk stamps on the flywheel....and it looks like they used a grinder to remove a mark on the rear side. Did I get scammed on this clutch, or is luk made by them?

Most all pressure plates are made by Valeo.

If Luk's name is on it, return it. They are awfull people who care nothing about you once you give them your money. My last clutch from them lasted only 3,000 miles. That was their Pro Gold series one. They straight up told me over the phone that after 90 days (their waranty period on their HD clutches) that clutch could go out at any time! Sorry to be mister negative but I dont want to see another person get screwed over by them or for them to get more business selling faulty parts. They wouldnt even let me send it back to them to see if it was a factory defect (which it probably was but they didnt want to be responsible to fix it).

The stock replacement clutch is made by Luk. At least, that's what I got from Scoggin-Dickey when I ordered mine last year.

The stock clutch in my car was made by Luk which everyone else's should be made by to. Luk's stock clutches are in about half of the cars manufactured from the factory's.

Does anybody else have input on this. Its confusing how it came in a different box...(not a luk) but the clutch says luk on it. Also the flywheel surface should be smooth shouldnt it. Mine has slight grooves on it like a record. Ive installed clutches before and never ran into this. Is this junk or what?

Luk products get reboxed all the time. Mine came in an AC Delco box. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with the Luk clutch on a daily driver. It's the best bang for the buck right now. Less than $400 for clutch disk, PP, and flywheel...not bad for those of us who just have a few bolt ons.

No...the flywheel surface was fine. I don't recall seeing any grinding marks anywhere else either.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it’s the only thread I could find that described how the new flywheel and pressure plate I just got look. It has slight grooves like on a record. SS1129, what did you do with yours?

Thats how mine looked. I thought it was funny too, but it appears to be the norm.
