Default T56 question plz help!

hey guys, i am gonna be buyin a t56 for my LS1 conversion. i have a 98 LS1 ready, the t56 is from a 99 LS1. are there any differences between the years? im just wondering. i really need to know quick tho cuz i need to let the guy know if i want it. so ... will it work fine?

01+ had carbon lined blocker rings, other than that they're all the same
