Default T56 feels knotchy after driving hard (more after fluid change)

I always noticed sometimes after going WOT when shifting into some gears it felt more knotchy or hard, then after changing the fluid w/ dextron 3 atf penzoil. It seems to do it more after going WOT or running it hard. Any ideas? Do I need to add some kind of friction additive?

If you used dino Dexron III atf, then no additive should be needed.

You can either try using another fluid, or, bleeding your hydrolics.

It seems - although I just really look for the fluid in T-56 posts - that I've seen threads before on hard shifting after WOT or hard driving, and one of the theory's is that the clutch fluid heats up...

...so you might want to go that route (search on which fluid to use for that first and how properly do) and see what that gets you...

...if that fails, try a known good fluid like Synchmesh (don't see too many complaints on that stuff)...

I think the fluid is heating up and boiling a little which could possibly make the shifting notchy.
