Default Clutch noise when released?

For the past couple days I have noticed that whenever I am releasing my clutch it makes a whirlwind noise. Sometimes it makes a noise when I engage the clutch, but that doesnt happen all the time.

I still have the stock clutch w/ 32k miles, any help appreciated!

this is an old post but TTT.

I now have a noise upon engaging clutch. Doesn't sound like a whirlwind, more like.. well I really can't describe it. It's not annoying and I only notice it when radio volume is down. Once clutch fully engaged, noise is gone.

Any ideas? BTW, stock clutch 78,000 miles.

I started getting the same "whirlwind" noise when I changed out my slave cylinder for an 01+ model (it was out of an 02 with 20k miles on it). I figure it is something wrong with the slave, but it is such a bitch to change i'm gonna leave it alone... It works fine other than making the noise.
