Question McLeod Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder

I recently installed the adjustable McLeod clutch master cylinder in my '01 WS.6. I bled the system (no easy procedure for sure) and everything seemed fine. Now, on occasion, the pedal will get soft at the top and even wants to stay on the floor every once in a while. Then, for no apparent reason, all symptoms go away and the pedal is firm once again. Anyone else experience this?

At first I thought it might be air in the system (and this may certainly be the case) but wouldn't the symptoms always be present until the air is removed by bleeding? Or, could I have simply gotten a bad master cylinder?

Chances are you got a bad master cylinder. I did and lots of other people have too.

I have one of the "bad" ones. I have tried to get ahold of them to send it back for a rebuild but after numerous phone calls have yet to get ahold of anyone.

I also have a bad one and get the same symptoms. The best master you can get comes from GM.

Dumb question...did you try adjusting the MC? The shorter I made mine, the more problems I had. I ended up making mine about a 1/4 inch longer than stock and it cured a lot of problems.
