Installing pilot bearing please help
I'm getting ready to install a pilot bearing into my new motor and wondering if it goes in flush with the crank or if it goes back just a little or does it matter

why flat side out? There's no point to have a rounded edge towards the crank, and if you look at the input shaft from the tranny the rounded edge fits perfect with the rounded edge on the shaft. I might be wrong but I put it rounded side out, flat side in. But yes ls1 jeff is right, put it flush with the crank
