Anyone Running a SPEC 1?
My SPEC 3 is starting to slip (30k+ miles on it) and I am now in the market for a new clutch. I really liked the driveability of the LS6 clutch that came with the car. I replaced it after 15+ trips down the strip with drag radials. I would like somthing like the LS6 because I do not plan on going back to the track anytime soon. It looks like I can get a SPEC 1 for under $300 and I don't think I can grab an LS6 for that. Has anyone run the SPEC 1? If so, how has it held up for you?

I had a Spec Stage 1 when my car had a lid and a cutout. I did not last very long. I beat on the car and I went through 2 of them in about 4 thousand miles, combined. I have my current mods in sig, but with a Stage 2 clutch and its been going strong for over 5,000 miles now. *knocks on wood*
Its a good clutch if you're going to use it for a daily driver, but if you plan on abusing it, you might as well just upgrade.

I've had the spec 3 and the spec 2.
The spec 2 feels just like stock if you ask me, and it'll take some abuse too, mines been on for about 15,000 miles and I just took it off this weekend cause of my rear main seal, clutch and spec billet flywheel still look new.
I'd just go with the spec 2 if there's a chance on beating it.
You will not be disappointed by drivability at all.
