question about shifters
When I got my T/A it came with a B&M ripper.. The throws are long and annoying, however its relatively smooth..
my friend just bought an SS today.. i drove it and his shifter is very very clunky, however the throws are VERY short and i like it....
Ive never driven a hurst, but does his shifter sound like a stock hurst shifter to you guys? or does it sound like something else.. does the hurst have long throws? because whatever his SS has i LOVE and i need to buy...
Byunspeed has a UMI shifter for $82.. Sounds kind of cheap eh? But he said its a good one.. Recommendations??
I want a nice short throw thats shorter th an the B&M, because the B&M isnt short at all
plz discuss

Look at his shifter ( take the shift boot, and or upper console off, probably easier to take the upper console off slightly ) and tell us if it says pro5.0 on it, or if it looks like a factory peice, it might just be a short stick on a stock base.

I just put the WS6Store short stick on my stock shifter and it is still clunky. The throws still seem long, but this is the first manual I have had in 15 yrs, so I am not sure. Would like to find someone with something different so I could try it. May have to go to upgrade shifter when I get time.

Im pretty sure this is just the stock hurst.. Very clunky and short throws.. It has the hurst shift **** on there, but I have hurst shift **** on mine, and its not stock. Im pretty sure its stock, because the shift **** is on there SOOO tight that I cant even unscrew it.. Its ridiculous, but heres pictures to possibly help
