Default Upgraded slave and master cylinders

Where did you get yours? Which ones are the best, etc?

Well there are several options for the master, but on the slave just get a OEM slave. The only ones they offer anymore are the newer version.

Get an '02 slave and look at the casting #. THe casting should be higher than '00' It is located on the top center of the SC. EX, mine is a casting #8, 2002 HYD.

The 98-00 HYD were concidered inferior. If you really want to change the master, go for it. Again get 2002 Hydraulics, or if you want to spend the money you can do the McLeod Adjustable. Most of the vendors here carry them.

thanks! I assume the slave is a lot easier than the master? I was just going to do both because a lot of people on here say you might as well do both. Believe me I'm for whatever is the simplest solution. So a 2002 GM would suffice? Do any of you know how much they run from the dealer?

The slave is only easy if your replacing your clutch at the same time because you need to drop the tranny. I've replaced my master and it was a real pain, it's in a pretty tight spot (just like everything on our cars).

Try WS6store. com (sponsor -->), they ususally have decent prices.

Byun Speed has the GM Slave for $106 - shipped. They are great people to work with.

And, oh yeah, I have a Mcleod in the for sale section...
