Unhappy rebuild help please

Hi there took my t-56 apart put the 3-4 fork on and it'stime to put the casing back on. But Ihave the problem that Icant put the two bolts back on [torxs screws]. Is there a certain way to put them on. pics can help . First time rebuilding at-56. thank you

The shift rails & forks must be off or something. You need to take the case back up & see whats holding you up.

The transmission needs to be in a vertical position. The left screw should go in first. That would be the guide pin for the 5/6 and reverse shift rail. Once that guide pin is in you can gently pull up on the 5/6 and reverse shift rail and gently with only a wrench and the torx bit screw in the other guide pin. DO NOT FORCE THE PINS IN. You can strip the pins and torque them to tight. You can also snap the head off the pin. The manual should go thru most of this but this is what we have found to work.

Yeah, I frequently use a little flashlight and a thin flatblade screwdriver to get the shift rail channel lined up while wiggling the selector shaft. As soon as I see it lined up, I slide in the rail bolt. You need to wiggle the fork selector shaft a little to move things around.

First time is a definitely a pain. I probably disassembled my main case 6 times before I got it right.
