Default Master cylinder hydraulic line different?

'99 Trans Am. When I changed my clutch I put in a new 01-02 slave, but left the master that was in the car(which I assumed stock '99). The line from the master plugged into the new slave. My master cylinder went out and I got one from a friend's '98 SS camaro. The line will not plug into my 01-02 slave. Are the lines different between 98-00 and 01-02 and mine was upgraded prior to me owning the car? TIA

Nope. It's the same, just the hardest one I've ever seen to plug. Lots of wiggling and pushing. I think the plunger valve in the end was seized shut.
