which clutch for H/C/I street/strip ride?
in the process of modding the trans am and should be around 430-450rwhp hopefully when im all said and done, which in turn will need an upgraded clutch, I was reading the "what clutch is everyone using" thread and seems like theres a hit or miss when it comes with the SPEC 3 clutches...car is a daily driver so I dont want it to be to bad with chatter and what not, harder pedal feel is no problem though...
what about flywheels? was reading the "how to be fast" thread and it was very anti aluminum flywheel...i thought the whole point of a new flywheel was for it to be lighter, ie less rotational mass and faster spinup?
I was looking tentativly at the spec 3...what other options do I have?

Don't cheap out on this one...I'd recommend a Textralia based on reviews alone, although I like my RPS clutch. I'm not gonna recommend the RPS personally because I don't know how much power it will hold (although it should hold a H/C car, but I haven't personally done it).

I love my CARTEK Clutch. I have had the old one and the new one. Over 40K miles on the two of them, over 250 passes leaving at 6000 to 7000 rpm every time. No chatter, feels fine in traffic, and hold the power.

Textralia would get my vote. if you have alot of money to spend, the Exo Sel has got to be one of the best out there. I hear good things about the oz700 also, especially if you're under 500rwhp. McLeod twins I hear are good as well. Except the master cylinder issues with them. I've got one of those twins for sale if you decide on something like it. a cheaper route for under 500rwhp that are pretty good clutches according to reviews are the LS7/LS2 combo & cartek. I think the lightest steel flywheel you can get would be the best choice on flywheels.
