Default Whats this noise??

Recently i've had a noise coming from the shifter area. It only seems to have it when i'm in 6th gear and normally when i have my foot on the gas. It will go away if i let off it.

The sound isn't always there though. But i've been noticing it alot.

Its sort of a small vibrating sound. Kind of like 2 metal peices are vibrating on each other very light and fast.

Anyone know what it could be? Do i just need to add fluid? Also how do you add or check fluid in these things?!?

on the drivers side firewall you will see a small container that is holding some fulid, that is where you would add fluid. make sure you don't go over the line.

I think he is talking about the tranny fluid. There is a plug on the pass side to drain it if you want to add new and the fill plug is on the driver side.

You never noticed the noise before? Have you worked on the shifter recently or replaced it recently?

Yeah, do you have an aftermarket shifter?
The screws from the positive stop could make contact with the vibrating shifter stick.
