Default Tranny squeal

I live up in central Wisconsin and haven't driven my car in probably 4 months if not a little longer than that. The last few months of fall I didn't really drive it often either due to my tranny acting up on me. The last few times I drove the car, everytime I would push in the clutch I would hear a squealling noise coming from the tranny/clutch area. The very last time I drove the car, I was having troubles getting it into gear, usually it goes into gear nice and smooth, but atleast 3 times it wanted to grind a little. I was told that my throw out bearing may be going. Transmissions are probably the area I have the least knowledge in. Has anyone heard of this or had troubles like this?

How many miles and what kind of abuse has it seen. Sounds like syncros to me.

I though it may be syncros at first, because it was only two gears, but by the end it didn't matter. The car has 80,000 miles, it hasn't been abused much, just the occasional redlight. I am not sure what to expect when I take it out of storage in spring.

It's more than likely the throwout bearing, possibly a problem with the slave cylinder or pressure plate. Take it apart and replace the slave cylinder, it comes with a new throw out bearing.

The TOB would be my guess as well. Common problem on the '03/'04 Cobra, too.
