throw out bearing?

throw out bearing? i just had one of the mcleod billet steel quills put on my transmission and for some strange reason it is larger in diameter than my throw out bearing and wont go together. i was wondering if anyone has run into this before or if there is a specific throw out bearing that you are suppose to use. any help would be appreciated.
