Default Spec 3 slipping only 6k on it?

I have had my Spec 3 ever since i got my car last June. When I swapped engines out in the end of July we looked at the clutch and it did show in fact that it was pretty much brand new just as the previous owner said. The clutch has been performing fine ever since until lately. A few weeks ago I went to punch it on the highway dropped it to 3rd, when I shifted to 4th it spun a little bit then grabbed. Ive had it happen in almost all gears mostly at the top of em when its at high rpm or shifting into another gear at high rpm. Im guessing this is the symptoms of a slipping clutch. My question is why would it be doing this so early? I only put about 6-7k on the car and dont really beat on it or launch it hard. thanks

Lemonhead, What flywheel was used? Have you had any hydraulic or rear main seal leaks? These issues can lead to a slipping clutch. Let me know and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks,

Have you upgraded hydraulics at all? I know that my stock clutch wouldnt grab under the old hydraulics (97-01). I upgraded the MC and SC when I swapped to the Spec 3+ and I LOVE it now!

SPEC-01 unfortunatly I have no idea which flywheel was used as it was installed by the previous owner when I got it. Also I dont think I had any leaks or anything everything looked fine when we took it out.

I took it out last night and punched it on the highway and other spots and I didnt get any slipping. I guess its an on and off situation as of now.

Well, an on and off slippage is commonly related to failing hydraulics. Keep an eye on it and let me know if this becomes a consistent issue. Thanks,
