Default prob w/ putting 5.3 in 5spd truck

i just put a 5.3 in atruck that came w/ a 4.8 5spd, everything went real smooth but the crank is different where the flywheel/flexplate bolts to. the 5.3 was an automatic obviously and the crank doesnt stick out as far as the 4.8 did, i have a spacer and 2 types of pilot bearings..1 pilot bearing looks like a normal pilot bearing and the other looks like an actual sealed ball bearing. i was thinking that the bigger bearing is used and pressed into the 5.3 crank and then the spacer is installed and then the distance looks prety close to the same. but the bolts need to be like 1/4 -1/2 inch longer to go through the spacer. does anyone have any info? am i doing it right? im about 90% sure about the bearing and spacer setup, but i dont know what im going to do about flywheel bolts because i dont want to use hardware store bolts. part numbers would be awesome but ANY comment is appreciated. thanks
