Default Need a new Clutch! What one should I get?

I just rolled over a 100k and still have the stock clutch. It's starting to feel a little rough and i think it's time for a new one. Would like a Tex but don't really have 950 bucks so I was gonna go with a spec 3+. I have noticed a lot of people not happy with the spec and was wondering what is causing all these problems? Is Spec doin anything about it? Will I regret it?

How much horsepower do you have, and how much are you planning on? If your in the 400 range I hear the LS7/LS2 combos are good, and are only 430$. I'm going to be picking one up shortly since I probably won't do much more than 400.

i just put the spec 3+ in. i like it so far, but the engagement point is very graby up high and i have a lot of getting use to it. still breaking mine in (only 175 miles on it) but it is very smooth! I paid 700.00 for my SPEC 3+ and billet steel flywheel.

I've used the 3+ and loved. Good amount of chatter on break in, but when it clears up it's a great clutch.

You're going to find pros and cons with almost every clutch out there. The question is which issue are you willing to deal with. I've had the Spec III and it chattered until the day I drove it onto the lift to have it removed for the Textralia. The Textralia is great so far but it is pricey. I'll admit that I won't be getting another one because of the price. I'll be trying a Ram next and if that don't work, then I'll be saving up for the Textralia again.

Thanks guys. I'll check into that ram. Any ideas on where the best deal is on it?
