STUCK in middle of T56 removal
Ok, I have my 97 z28 M6 on jackstands, driveshaft out, everything in engine compartment out, wheels off, exhaust off, everything out of the way. I need to get my T56 out asap. The bellhousing bolts are all out, and the bellhousing is like 2-3 inches away from the engine. I can't slide it out any further, and I can't drop it. The motor mounts are loosed/removed, there's nothing on the block *no heads/intake*. Everytime I try to rotate the T56 from under the car, the whole engine rotates with it. Everytime I pull it, the engine block comes with it. How do I get this thing off???

Yeah you gotta unbolt the trans from the bellhousing and remove the trans by itself. Then you can pull the bellhousing out after. You've got the shifter removed right (just makin sure )
