Default is it time for an ajustable slave?

My clutch has been acting wierd. I have a spec stg3 and when I go to let the pedal out, it comes up from the floor about 7 inches before it starts grabbing at all. I only have the top inch or so of pedal travel to slip the clutch. It makes to car a lot harder to drive. should I install an adjustable slave cylinder or is it something alse that is causing this to occur?

that might be a big problem. I'm sure the clutch isn't grabbing entirely if it only grabs the last inch of pedal travel. I'm not sure if it's another problem or not, don't have a lot of experience with aftermarket clutches. You might just need a shim for the slave, they don't make adjustable slaves that I know of. But you can get an adjustable master that will adjust where the clutch grabs and releases.
