Default hard shifting

hey i just bought my 98 camaro a few months ago. it has 100k on it so the miles are up there. but the trany is from a 02 SS with about 40k on it with a LS7 clutch. i have the Hurts Shifter. but when i shift its kinda hard to get it to go in to gears quickly its like it it hits a wall when it first goes in(no noise at all) then it goes into gear. it just takes longer then i would like for racing. any ideas opn how i can quicken up the shifts?

Thanks alot
Derek

do you have the drill mod done? also i would bleed the system that might help also. i know i bleed mine once a month if not more, look at the fluid, if its black, flush the system.

Yep do the drill mod, flush the system and if that doesn't help the blocker rings inside the trans are wearing out. Try the other suggestions before assuming it is the BR's as it will be easier to do the drill mod and flush the systems than pull the trans and replace internal parts.
