I have a chance to buy a T56 from an new SSR. Does anyone know if these have the upgrades like the new GTO trans.

We haven't done one but I would expect it should have a steel fork and carbon blocker rings. Can't say for sure you would have to find someone that has done one.

I have one in my 06 Silverado. The main sticking point with the SSR T56 is, the input shaft is longer than the other T56's ,and you have to use a different fly wheel ,and or space the slave cyl. farther out. I used the SSR flywheel ,pressure plate , and disk. It's kind of a clunkey unit and weighs about 30 lbs. more than the truck one. Also it has a 40 tooth reluctor wheel instead of the 17 tooth. No cags skip shift. Has a 32 tooth output shaft . Gear ratio is a little different .
3.01 first
2.07 second
1.43 third
1.1 forth
0.84 fifth
0.56 sixth
Hope this helps .
