Default Tranny removal question

After removal of the crossmember and tranny, does the rear of the motor need to be supported? I looked at the install university and didn't see anything about supporting the rear of the motor. All of the older vehicles I have worked on need the rear of the motor supported. Of course all the those had distributors.

Thanks in advance,

Larry

P.S.
This is an '02 camaro

I put a floor jack at the back of the motor just to suport it. I put a block of wood inbetween the jack and the motor

I have some poly motor mounts and they help support it pretty good without being jacked up.

The only thing I supported was the trans with a trans jack, until I was able to get if off the corroded guide pins.

The exhaust will hit the frame on the passenger side and keep it from coming too far down to damage anything.
