Default Getting into reverse

I had my t56 built by a local reputable shop and it's pretty damn hard getting into reverse. I thought over time it would be easier to get it in, but you basically have to hit it over and it goes in.

Reverse doesn't go in if I to it normally...just has to be hit over and then pushed in.

Two friends have gotten theirs built at the same shop and their reverse feels just like stock. Slides right over with no issues.

Did they mess something up? I called and all they told me is that the "built" transmissions are like that.

sounds like your lockout solenoid isn't letting it go. I had mine disconnected for a while and it was exactly like that, had to push hard to the right but slipped up pretty easily. First make sure it's plugged in, on the pass side and it kinda sticks out a little, it's hard to miss. If you have any tuning software or know someone who does you can use it to listen to the solenoid, for ex I have HP Tuners and it has an option to engage/disengage the solenoid and you can hear it click.

Something easy to check is the ENG SEN fuse for an open if the SES is on.
