t56 swap
Im looking to do an a4 to t56 swap and am looking for some reinforcement. Who here has done it? Any articles or pictures that anyone has would be helpful. How long should it take when working with a buddy? Can it be done with some jackstands and a jack? Also can an ls1 t56 be swapped in to an lt1 car? Basically should i attempt this or no haha.

I'm in the middle of doing one right now. I'm definitely not the most mechanically inclined person in the world (just enough to get myself in trouble). Just be smart about what your doing and read plenty about it first.
It can definitely be done on jack stands w/ a jack. Just be safe!!

I just finished my swap about a month ago. It is fairly easy and shouldn't take very long if you take your time and do everything right the first time. I found that the hardest parts were getting the trans stabed through my twin disk and bleeding the clutch.

I just got done with mine prolly about a month ago. Car is still down because i havnt got a tune yet and im completely overhauling the suspension. Go to gm high tech's website, because they did an auto to manual swap on a 4th gen and they did a kick *** write up on it. They even give you the locations on where the hole are suppost to be cut along with dimensions. Good luck its fun.
