Default How many of you have....

Shifted from 3rd to 2nd while racing. I went from 3 to 2 instead of 3 to 4. I dont think anything is wrong with my car. All I know is it shaked alot and I am guessing that was the rev limiter and such. Car runs and shifts notmal, doesnt make any noise as of yet. Is there anything I should look at?

Pull the pushrods and roll them on a piece of glass to see if they are bent any. I did it once and it never happened again

I did it not once but TWICE! Within 5 minutes

This was with my old cammed LS1. I didn't let the clutch out all the way but it did overrev a little and rear end started hopping! Not good for the ol' 10 bolt let alone the rest of the drivetrain.

Car ran and drove fine.

Only reason I can figure it happened is because I had parked the T/A for a few months and was driving my workcar. Shifter in that is very loose in comparison.

Jumped in the T/A and had to get used to it all over again.

Well as of now the tranny shifts as smooth as it ever did in every gear, the rear isnt whining or anything, and I dont hear a loud ticking from the motor. I feel like shuch a fuckup! I think I will go back to my normal "ball" shifter instead of the t-handle.
