Default Will LT1 6-speed tranny fit LS1

I have a 02 camaro with a auto in it. I was wondering if the tranny's from 94' to 02' were the same. t56 M6?

so which is which the t56 lt1 and the m6 ls1?

umm M6 means Manual 6 spd. both are T56s, but they are not the same.

Physically it will fit in your car. I would change the front intermidiate plate and input shaft to LS-1 specs. Better yet change all internals to Viper Specs.
